newchair

abby: actually my dad got it cos he signed up for some starhub thing.

OK so there is this other cat, right….

Posted by: applecow on: October 1, 2008

and she seems to be living in my house now!

I cannot believe cow’s mother is letting this happen! It all started when cow brought this other cat home, supposedly to be hospitalised for some operation or something like that. Hey I’ve been through that operation before and it wasn’t thaaaat bad. I just felt like sleeping and that’s what I did. I was fine the very next day (abby: yours wasn’t the same type of operation!)

Anyways, when this cat came in, cow was like all excited cos I was sussing out the situation by sniffing and then when I realised she was some scruffy cat from outside, I just totally ignored them both, because I wasn’t interested. Cow went around telling everybody that I didn’t even know that she was another cat. HELLO. Do I look that stupid to you?? I’ve seen myself in the mirror. I know what a CAT looks like. I may look stupid but I’m not smart ok. waaait… I may look smart but I’m not smart. noo…. I may be stupid but I look smart? Err.. I think you get what I mean.

So this cat stayed for like 2 days and was supposed to go home. Cow’s mum made it very clear that she has to go within 2 or 3 days but guess what. It’s been THREE WEEKS and she is still here!

They call her “mummy cat” but they can make fools of themselves all they want. I’m so not going to call this scruffy longkang cat “MUMMY” of all things, even though she has nipples sticking out all over the place. (They sure look weird by the way, especially with the fur shaven off in the right places… what kind of weird hairstyle is that!?)

I’ll write more about HER some other time. I’m tired now and she is sleeping in my favourite sleeping spot. :( Have to find elsewhere to nap.

I need my cow back soon. Please.

My cow has been gone a long long long time and I need her back!

At first I thought she’d only be gone for a few days… I think the longest she’s ever been away was for a week. So I waited, and waited. Anyway cow’s relatives came over to stay and I was kept quite occupied and time just flew by. But the relatives have come and gone and cow still isn’t back.

I was getting worried that cow’s parents might have forgotten that they ever had a cow, especially since my cow’s room has been taken over by Aunty Ruth. But the other day cow’s dad called cow on the phone and I got to talk to her! The wonders of a telephone! I could hear her talking from Ireland (which is all the way across the world). Wow. From what I know of the world, it is a VERY big place and cow is in a different country altogether. The world is so big that cow can’t just came back anytime she wants and she has to spend lots of monies to go to Ireland and come back.

Anyway, my cow said she is coming back soon. So I’ve been waiting at the door every night. Cow’s parents have put my little nest by the door so that it’s more comfortable for me. Aren’t they sweet. But it would have been sweeter if they had sent me off to be with cow.

I know I always act tough and macho whenever cow cuddles me but I tell you all a secret ok? I actually quite like it. I only pretend I don’t cos a cat has pride ok. I also kinda miss the whale. His smiliness is a bit annoying but it sure can brighten up a gloomy day (don’t tell him I said nice things about him k. he might start to feel cocky).

I am so bored

Posted by: applecow on: November 26, 2007

Hello everybody, I am back out of sheer boredom. The cow has been sitting in one corner of her room quite alot lately, surrounded by lots and lots of paper. I tried eating one of the pieces of paper to provide some entertainment for her since she looks pretty frustrated, but she was not to be amused. Will save my paper-eating stunt for another day when she is a better mood.

I don’t know if she realises this, but her father is going to come back home today and her mum will be back tomorrow (aha! I know because they told me before they left!) and they are not going to be happy. The house is in a mess, she hasn’t done any housework for at least 3 days now. Sunday morning housework frenzy was totally non-existent and the cow remained in her dark corner (well, it’s not so dark cos she has a fluorescent light which she turns on sometimes) without mention of a bath (for me! what are you thinking! of course the cow showers at least once a day. well I’m not complaining about not getting a shower anyway).

Even my best ROFL trick didn’t work as well on her as it does on her parents. It usually makes the old folks go all goo-goo-ga-ga even on their grumpiest of days… but my cow… poor cow… is like a zombie these days. I curled up next to her last night cos it was a cold night, and she turned to hug me. I don’t quite fancy the hugs but I think it makes her happy that I let her hug me. yay. Now I shall just go back to my cat bed and watch her work in her corner.

I hurt my cowwww….

Posted by: applecow on: July 25, 2007

I thought she wanted to play! Well, she probably did want to play but maybe I’m too rough. I’m so sorry I hurt you my cow… I didn’t realise that your face would still be there when I took a swipe at it. Your reflexes are usually faster than that. Maybe we shouldn’t play this dangerous game anymore.

At first I thought she was just pretending to be injured when she started rolling on the bed, howling in pain. But when I saw all that blood I thought to myself, “uh-oh”. And my instinct was to run and hide. But then later I thought about it and decided to be a man (well, not really a human-man) and just say I’m sorry. Luckily my cow fell for my charms and went from, “you’re a very naughty cat!” to “Awww…. i know you’re sorry… it’s ok. Just don’t do it again ok? You see, my face bleed so much, very painful you know…”

She’s a bit naggy but at least now we’re cool.

what’s up!

Posted by: applecow on: July 20, 2007

People have been asking why I’ve not blogged for so long.. Ask my cow! She’s the one too busy to blog for me… She’s been exercising alot lately though I don’t see her losing any weight. Just 2 months ago, her giant friend literally had to drag her out of the house to run for a little bit. She used to be really grumpy about it and pulled long faces and did stupid things just to delay getting out of the house (e.g. pretend to be asleep).

Then just last week, she started getting seriously serious about her exercise. I personally think she’s being a bit obsessive now. She’s now the first one ready! Shocking! Then yesterday, in an even more shocking turn of events, she went running alone. Yah! ALONE! I thought she was having a fever or something but when I tried to feel her forehead she pushed me away saying “sweaty la! gross!”.

I think she’s getting a bit more muscular also though… I sank my teeth into her flesh a couple of times just to test this out. Then I heard her go running to her mother to complain that I had “gone mad”. Well someone’s gotta tell her if her exercise is working or not, right?

somebody abducted the cow parents!

Posted by: applecow on: June 1, 2007

and nobody seems to notice.

I think it’s mainly because there are sooo many people in the house lately. They have taken over the cow’s room and the cow parents’ room. ACK! They will NEVER take my room!!! I have colonised one room (aka the cow father’s study room) and taken it for my own. Cow has also moved a great deal of her things into the study and I decided not to charge her rent for it.

Cow seems to welcome them into her house. I recognise one of them… Aunty Ruth. She was around when I first come into cow’s home and she was pretty nice to me. When everyone else was asleep I went into her room and sniffed around her things. She didn’t seem to mind and I think she remembers me! I don’t really know who all the other people are though. I mostly keep to myself in my room, spying on them through the slightly ajar door.

There are six of them altogether (including aunty ruth and her husband), and two of them are kids. I don’t like kids. My first encounter with kids was a terrifying one – they were the kids from next door and they tried to get me out from under the bed. for like 2 hours. yikes. So now I don’t like strangers, much less kids. But after observing them for some time, I figured the two girls were pretty harmless.

I revealed myself on monday, much to their surprise. They had been staying for 3 days and they never saw me. MUAhahaha… that’s super cat-stealth for you! Contrary to what the cow might tell you, I’m not afraid of people ok. I just don’t like them. And I feel a need to assess their character before I reveal myself. So don’t let the cow tell you otherwise.

The best thing about them staying at our place is that cow sleeps outside on the sofa. Which means that I get to use her as a spring board all night long. I also try to be as annoying as possible while pretending to be sleeping like an angel. For example. The sofa doesn’t have much space right, and cow’s blanket is small. But I sleep right between her legs, weighing the blanket down. Leaving here with no space AND no blanket! HAhaha… what a wonderful genius plan on my part! And and and… the best part, is when she gets up shove me off, I pretend to be sleeping so peacefully and angelically that I know she cannot bear to push me away. Haha! Not only a wonderful and genius plan, but also a perfect plan!

But entertainment aside, I am quite worried about the cow parents. Did cow not realise that there were other people sleeping in her parents’ bedroom? Or were there just too many people around for her to notice that they were missing? Very disturbing indeed. I tried telling cow but she only got it after many days. Who knows, they would have been dead meat by now. She says I worry too much. But how not to worry when she’s so blur herself??!

me? monster? nahhhh…..

Posted by: applecow on: March 23, 2007

Today the cow and her mum came home and headed straight for the desktop computer in the father’s room to look at photos of me! Me, being a very narcissistic cat, was overjoyed of course. They looked at this photo,

and went, “AWWwwwwww…. ” and then they looked this photo,

and went, “he was so cute and tiny last time….”. Then they looked at this photo,

and they went, “he looks so sweet when he’s asleep”. Then they both turned to me (I was exploring the window sill) and went, “WHY ARE YOU SUCH A MONSTER NOW?”

HEYyyyy….. what monster… I’m growing up to be a strong macho cat. I’m learning to protect them but even the best bodyguard’s gotta practice on something… They just don’t appreciate it when I sink my teeth into their flesh. I’m just showing them what I can do to an intruder!

Anyways, of course baby cat look cute la. All baby animals look cute what. EEf yoo don’t belieeeve me, check dees out

my cow didn’t come home!

Posted by: applecow on: March 20, 2007

I was in a panic on friday night. My cow didn’t come home! I should have guessed because earlier that day she was packing alot of stuff. Like sleeping bags, torches, clothes… I suspected she was going to run away from home. I said, “take me with yooooooo” but she said where she was going was not for me. :( And then she left.

Howww…. who am I going to snuggle with at night? Who is going to fling the mousey thing around for me to run and catch… who is going to bathe me.. oh. hmmmmmmmmm

When the cow’s parents got up on saturday morning, I tried to tell them that cow wasn’t home. I meowed and meowed but they didn’t seem to get it. Finally, after carrying me, and feeding me, cow’s father realised that I was complaining that cow wasn’t home. He and cow’s mother just laughed it off. How come they are not worried that their daughter has run away from home? :(

**update: thankfully cow came back on saturday afternoon. She fell deep asleep and I snuggled up to her to make up for the lack of snuggles the night before. Hmmph.

I want to go toooo….

Posted by: applecow on: March 14, 2007

The cow’s giant friend is coming back from australia tomorrow and the stupid cow won’t let me go with her to the airport to fetch him! Hmmmmph. She says the ride will be long, blah blah blah and a whole lot of lame excuses. Give me a break. I’ve been for long rides before – we went to grandma’s house! (ab: upper thomson rd to ang mo kio is NOT a long ride) Yeah whatever. I’m going to insist the whale stay home with me tomorrow. It’s not fair that he gets to go everywhere while I’m cooped up in the house most of the time (ab: life isn’t fair). I want to go out and exploreeeee! I already know every nook and cranny of the house. Probably better than the cow’s entire family put together. I want to see the world (minus dogs)….
